This high-energy talk will discuss the advent of IoMT devices and how their incredible potential in the healthcare environment can be harnessed in a way that minimizes cybersecurity impact. Discussion will include approaches to screening IoMT products, deployment of IoMT within the enterprise, IoMT lifecycle management, and common IoMT pitfalls.

Trent R. Hein previously co-founded XOR Inc. (now part of FICO) and AppliedTrust (now part of ViaWest), but is best known as co-author of the best-selling Unix System Administration Handbook and Linux Administration Handbook. A Boettcher Scholar, Trent holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, which awarded him the Kalpana Chawla Outstanding Recent Alumni Award. Trent is well-known in the fields of Information Security and IT Infrastructure, holding CISSP, CCIE-15, CSSA, PCI QSA, ISSMP, and ISSAP certifications. Trent has worked with clients in healthcare for over 20 years.
